 Robert Börns   (1759 — 1796)  - Şotlandiyanın milli şairidir. "Ürəyim dağlardadır" şeirində o, dağlara sevgisini, vətən həsrətini ön palan çəkir, Şotlandiyanın təbiətini və dağların əzəmətini göstərir.

Ürəyim dağlardadır, burda deyil ürəyim,

Ürəyim dağlardadır, maral qovmaq diləyim.

Vəhşi maral iziylə, ceyranlar sorağında,  

Ürəyim dağlardadır, hara getsəm bu yurdda. 

 

Əlvida, uca dağlar, əlvida, şimal eli,

İgidliyin vətəni, şərəf, vüqar məskəni;

Harada dolaşsam da, hara getsəm də hər gün

O uca dağları mən sevəcəyəm büsbütün.

 

Əlvida ağ qarla örtülmüş dağa,

Əlvida o yaşıl dərəyə, bağa.

Əlvida o vəhşi, sıx meşələrə,

Əlvida çağlayan, coşan sellərə.

 

Ürəyim dağlardadır, burda deyil ürəyim,
